We’re Amanda and Leo, and we work together to create beautiful books and stories for children.
Our books are inspired by myths and fairytales and fantasy, and we love to kindle young imaginations and enhance the magic of childhood by creating enchanting worlds for young readers.
Tintagel Press is an indie publishing house located on the dramatic North Cornwall coast at Tintagel.
Tintagel is home to many legends and stories, from King Arthur to Tristan and Isolde, and is also a place of happy memories for many families who holiday here in the summer.
The magic of this place, and the fun of the families who visit, inspires our art and stories.
Amanda has many years of experience teaching and writing fiction, and Leo has been illustrating fantasy and children’s fiction for over 40 years.
Together we created Tintagel Press with a mission to create beautiful, inspiring stories for children.

This is pure joy. Hide-and-seek meets nursery rhymes, and it absolutely works. Bright, charming illustrations, a bouncy rhyming story, and Noah sneaking about on every page. Even the Big Bad Wolf gets outwitted. I cannot wait to read this with to my grandson. Perfect bedtime fun with giggles guaranteed.

What a wonderful book! The love in the drawings and the wisdom in the words is something for children and adults to share. I am in my 50s and a devotee of mindfulness, and have to say that this book brings something new and magical to the understanding of well being. There is real poignancy in the innocent rightness of Little Moose’s take on the world, his huge affection for his dog Wolfie and the simple, and priceless, joy of being together. Wise at beyond its apparent simplicity this is a book to share, to discuss and to return to on the days that get you down. Can’t wait to see the other books in this series. Truly recommended. A book to treasure.
